Septic Tank - CONDER

Crystal Septic Tanks are the superior traditional two chamber design, but made in fibreglass.

Crystal Septic tanks are manufactured for us by Condor with two chambers offering primary settlement of wastewater and sewage allowing further settlement before discharge of treated material through a septic tank filter to a soakaway.

The filter prevents small suspended solids from exiting the tank. They are caught in the filter and slough off back into the tank before they can damage the soakaway.

These filters are fitted as standard on septic tanks all over the world - except for the UK where 'onion' shaped tanks make them impossible to fit. The filters slot into the vertical part of the 'T' pipe on the outlet.

Septic Tank Sizes

2800 Litres - 4 persons
3600 Litres - 8 persons
4500 Litres - 13 persons
6000 Litres - 22 persons

Unless you have very free-draining sandy or gravely soil, it is unwise to consider using a septic tank for populations over 13 persons as the size and cost of the soakaway will be prohibitive and much more than the cost of a superior sewage treatment plant. The same applies to smaller tanks if the soil contains clay.

Specifications of Crystal Tanks

Crystal septic tanks are available in two types:

CLASS 1 - Suitable for concrete base and granular (gravel) backfill
CLASS 2 - suitable for full concrete surround only
