The Environment Agency has announced to us that as from April 6th 2010, they will not require a Consent to Discharge for discharges under 2M3 to ground or 5M3 to watercourse.

 

Instead, you will register for an Exemption online.  Unless your site has special features, the exemption will be automatic and costs nothing.  If your site requires special consideration, then you will be informed online to apply for a Consent to Discharge.
